Ask me how many times I failed algebra.
Images are processed and retouched with obsessive - yet loving - care.
Here's two fabulous resources about digital best-practices, in plain language, for free:
dpBestflow
www.dpbestflow.org Funded by the Library of Congress, administered and produced by ASMP
(The American Society of Media Photographers). The LOC wants the digital assets it is tasked to preserve
to stay safe for a real long time. It's designed to be accesible to people at every level of expertise, for those
with the most basic knowledge to engineers. You don't even need to register.
There's also a book, if you get tired of looking at a screen:
Digital Photography Best Practices and Workflow Handbook
by Patricia Rusotti and Richard Anderson, Focal Press 2009.
The Plus Coalition
www.useplus.com PLUS is a consortium of companies and organizations whose aim is to clarify - and rationalize -
useage and licensing terms, and inspire best practices between photographers and clients of all kinds.
Lots of people have signed on, from major publishers to Adobe. Soon, image-tracking will be a part of the system.
